As a PART-TIME afterschool instructor for Capitol Language Services, you will work with a dedicated team of professionals who provide high-quality afterschool programs and social activities for children aged 3 – 11 (Early Childhood Education and Elementary School). You will work for a program that stimulates the students with arts and crafts, playtime, language programs, and other activities.
The Ideal Candidate will:
- Have experience working with children in a school, camp, or daycare environment. At least 1 year is preferred.
- Have the availability to work 3-6 pm, Monday – Friday. No partial weeks.
- Possess the ability to guide children with their interests, monitor clubs, and other general activities.
Competitive Pay:
- Pay Starts at $18 - $24 per hr. DOE.
- Paid Time off for up to 3 days after February if good performance and no absences.

Requirements:
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Experience working with elementary school-aged children or genuine interest in learning how to work in a school setting.
- Must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including booster(s).
- Basic computer knowledge is required.
- Familiar with Excel (read students’ schedules and daily activities).
- Legal US work authorization.
- Previous experience related to this position is preferred.
- Good references from previous employers.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Responsibilities include leading a group of children of a specific grade, keeping track of attendance, and communicating any behavior issues to the coordinator and program director. Afterschool instructors may also be assigned to teach activities/clubs such as arts and crafts, homework, playground, etc.Please attach your resume. Applications without a resume will be discarded.
